Dust

Night has wrapped all the sorrow in a single cloud
It also told the rain not to cry
Today, the sky’s gonna be bright

And the river keeps flowing, continuing its life
It’s on its way to the future

I’m here, still struggling to be happy
While sadness blurs my sight

I try to remember the moment I saw the sun slowly creeping into the sky
and how it shone on me, letting the ice cube melt

I also try to remember the moment the roses bloomed and held on when the wind blew
It was their thorns that scared the wind from touching them

But the most important is how I saw the dust as something pretty
How I keep my mind from changing
Just because everyone thinks that dust is dirty
